Preface Welcome to my narrative project page, this page is meant to give you an insight on on my previous and present experience with narrative writing. Since it's been over a decade when I was last in high school, I cant even remember the last paper I wrote for my English class back then.
I can recall a time I did have to present a paper on a world war, and I decided to interview my grandfather on his experience of being in the Korean War. I was able to hear his story, while translating every detail that he could remember on paper. I remember being able to image myself standing next to him and all the gory visions he expressed.
Even though it was not my story, I got the chance to experienced the perfect example of a narrative story. My present experience in English Composition 1 has been an amazing and emotional process for me, amazing because I was able to re-live a moment in my past that has always been difficult to talk about, but also emotional do to the fact I am still grieving from my tremendous loss.
I have been able to share things about myself that I literally buried in the back of my mind. My stories have been filled with many emotions and trials along the way such as my blog #3 . Where I got the very first time to tell my story and express many emotions on how I felt in that moment. This experience has opened me up as not only an author, but as a human being able to face a time in my life that I thought I was healed of when in reality it was more like pouring salt on a open womb.
I also got the chance to write a story based off my life that dealt with an emotional time in my life that involved me having multiple conversations with other people. Which was something that I never thought about when it came to writing a narrative story here is another one of my many blog #4 .
I never thought about how my narrative story in a way to compare how I seen things back then and now but I was able to figure it out when I did blog #5. This blog gave me the chance to compare my actual narrative to a story that I never thought about the actual symbolism in the "Wizard of Oz". As I continue to build my writing skills and challenge my inner author identity I hope my audience can see my growth in my future blogs and my many drafts of my memoir.
